Come take part in what’s sure to be a fun winter hike through Whitten Woods. Diego and fellow Lakes Region Conservation Corps members will lead you on a hike through the Whitten Woods via the North Peak Trail loop. We will meet at the Whitten Woods parking lot to begin our hike. Get ready to enjoy some wonderful scenery on this moderate 2.5 mile long hike. Participants should come prepared with food/water, winter hiking gear, and of course positive energy!
Participants should be sure to have appropriate attire and layering for winter hiking. Extra layers, food/water, water resistant hiking boots, and snowshoes and/or microspikes may be needed depending on conditions. The SLA can provide snowshoes & microspikes if needed. Other snow hiking gear may be available upon request.
