Join us for a fun morning of birding at Chamberlain Reynolds! Whether you are an experienced birder or completely new to birdwatching, this program is a great opportunity to learn how to identify local birds by sight and sound. Participants will use bingo sheets as we search for birds along the trail and learn tips for spotting movement, listening for bird calls, and using binoculars. We will meet at Chamberlain Reynolds West Lot at 7:30 am. This program should be no longer than 3 hours. Anticipate walking at a slow pace for 2 miles. There will be brief stops along the way to note new species, important habitat, and have time to fill out bingo cards. Additionally, we will also distinguish migratory birds from year-round residents, and practice our birding etiquette.

This program is for all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Enjoy live music featuring The Chris White Band, an epic acoustic rock band hailing from the NH Lakes Region. Their extensive setlist consists of a range of fun and upbeat covers including Blackstreet, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, the Meters, Dave Matthews Band, James Brown, Sublime, and Stevie Wonder to name a few. The band is also familiar with many easy going more contemporary cover songs as well such as: Ed Sheeran, the Lumineers, Otis Redding, Jack Johnson, Dispatch, Guster, Bob Marley, and Tracy Chapman.

Create an adorable turtle from living succulent plants in this hands on workshop with Sue. In addition to making your turtle, learn how to care for it so you can enjoy it for months and years to come. The workshop fee includes the plants, growing medium, and supplies.  Please bring a pair of gloves and snips suitable for cutting the wire you’ll be using to make part of your turtle.

Create a pair of nature-inspired keepsakes using fresh plants and textured stems. You’ll design a detailed plaster relief plaque that captures the natural shapes and patterns of your arrangement, then take it home the same day. We will provide sealant to add in a month after it is fully dry.

You’ll also create one kiln-fired clay piece — your choice of a small jewelry dish or wall hanging — pressed with delicate botanical impressions. Your clay piece will be ready for pickup in a few weeks.

No experience is needed. We guide you step by step as your designs come together.
