Join us as we take time to notice the winter bird community. Each year from December through February, birders across North America contribute to winter bird counts—citizen-science efforts that provide vital data on bird populations and help scientists track species changes. At Nature Station, NLRA educators will offer an introduction to bird watching before leading participants on a guided walk to spot local species along the Grey Rocks trails. Participants will also create a bird journal to continue tracking sightings throughout the winter. Nature Station is a drop-in, family-friendly program with activities for kids of all ages. This program is free and open to all.
